The grade I listed building is the third built on the site; there has been a mansion here since 1589. Overlooking parkland designed by Capability Brown, the current Hall is a feast of everything Victoriana is famed for turrets, balustrades, gabled clock tower, and finely wrought iron. It’s grandeur is more than just imposing.

Visit the nearby Sherwood Forest, with Robin Hood’s fabled Major Oak, or the ruined 12th Century Cistercian Abbey at Rufford Park.

How to get there:

Majestic Thoresby Hall is 35 minutes north from Nottingham, and 15 minutes south of Worksop.

From the M1 North and South:
Exit the M1 at Junction 30, taking the A619/A57 towards Worksop. Then take the A614 towards Ollerton/Nottingham.

At the next roundabout turn right to Thoresby Hall Hotel & Spa, with the entrance on the left after approximately 1 mile.

From the A1 North and South:
Exit the A1 at the A614 roundabout, taking the A614 south towards Ollerton/Notts.

At the next roundabout turn right to Thoresby Hall Hotel & Spa, with the entrance on the left after approximately 1 mile.
